3D Artists are CGI Artists. CGI stands for “computer-generated imagery” and they create still and moving images and visual effects using computers. These images could be anything from characters to Environments to special effects. 3D animations can be created for things like film, or video games. They use their ability to create photo realistic materials, lighting, and rendered images for various uses including marketing and advertisements.
The 3D Artist produces the graphics, effects or animations using specific software for 3D visualizations, rendering, modeling or animation. 3D Artist can make models for gaming industry, architectural industry,in engineering, where the 2D blueprints are not enough. To be a good 3D modeler, you need a strong understanding of industry concepts to inform your 3D model work.
